HEALTH & FITNESS

Health and fitness is passion I want to share with the world! I have been on my own journey (still continuing) in health and fitness with many experiences. From basics of running and bodyweight training to extremes like ultramarathon running and coldwater swimming. I want to help you on your journey to a healthier, fitter, happier you.

MY STORY

I have a passion for exercise, nutrition, and health and want to share that with you. I absolutely love running, and have completed many half-, full, and ultra-marathons and endurance events. In terms of other training I am very enthusiastic about bodyweight training, core training, natural movement patterns and flexibility. I also enjoy the outdoors, so much of my training is done out in the fresh air and nature. I love setting myself challenges and achieving them, for example in 2015 completed a 100km ultramarathon. I do extensive reading related to fitness,  nutrition, and overall wellbeing.


I have been on my own journey (still continuing) in health and fitness. In 2009 I got into running and fitness and felt amazing. It was (and still is) one of the best things in my life. It let me accomplish things I wouldn't have thought possible, from movement patterns to endurance races. However, a few years of overtraining and undernutrition took hold. I came back from it. However then came the frustration of an ankle overuse injury and broken wrist. But I am almost back from that too. I am on a continued journey of improving my fitness and health, now in a more balanced and intuitive way.


From 2015 I decided to make fitness and health more than a hobby, also a career and way of life. After university I qualified as a Fitness and Personal Trainer. I first worked for a company doing gym-based training, and then freelance as a running and outdoor trainer. I have also done further courses in Running Fitness, Outdoor Fitness, and Nutrition.


I believe in a holistic approach to health – all aspects of movement and physical fitness, rest and recovery, good nutrition, a positive mind, and awareness coming together to create a better person.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Qualifications

  • Freelance Running & Outdoor Fitness Instructor, Personal Trainer in London

  • Register of Exercise Professionals UK: Level 2&3 Personal Trainer, Level 3 Outdoor Fitness Trainer.

  • Running Qualifications: Fitness Academy Finland Running Trainer, UK Athletics Running Leadership, Chi Running.

  • Outdoor Qualifications: Trainee Exploration Leader UK, National Outdoor Leadership School USA.


  • Nutrition: Personal Nutrition Diploma, Sports Nutrition Diploma.

  • Other: Basic & Outdoor First Aid.


Experience & Interests

  • Races: Three ultra-marathons 50-100km, four marathons, multiple half-marathons & 10Ks, triathlons. Including 100km Ultramarathon in 10:45hrs, five marathons over five months, 8000km run in 2015.


  • Training: Daily run training. Active gym member. Both individual and team sports (including football, touch rugby, golf, tennis, swimming, climbing).

  • Outdoors: Outdoor fitness and trail running, activity and outdoor based travel, spend most time outdoors.
