MY STORY

Trends in natural and social sciences are of great interest, including environment and climate change, sustainable development and economics.

I love the earth and environment. Inspired by home, Finland’s summer by lakes and forests and winters full of snow. My other home of New Zealand is also full of beautiful landscapes and natural wonders, from mountains to plains and coast. Academic interests including geography, mathematics, science, led me to study Earth Science at university. In MSci Geology & Geophysics I focused my studies around environment, impact assessment, climate change, natural resources and energy issues. Geology fieldwork brought me around Europe, hiking across, analysing and enjoying beautiful landscapes. My own travels have also enabled me to experience many new places and natural wonders.

I am also interested in the socio-economic aspects related to environmental and sustainable development. This was sparked through school in human geography and economics, and strengthened through my degree inMSc Management. My final thesis was on Sustainable Development & Sustainable Business Strategies. My internship experiences have given me a chance to work in several sectors under the broad sustainability umbrella.
